Palomar Challenge Hill Climb Results 2008

A cool day greeted this year's riders. This year we were able to time the riders so we now have a baseline for upcoming years.

Drew Peterson easily had the best time with a great effort. Drew thought his wearing a heart rate monitor this year allowed him to put out a maximum sustained effort. Matt Sheremeta started late and was able to catch Drew, but Drew prevailed at the end for an almost 1 minute edge.

Herb Johnson keeps getting stronger, even at the age of 65 and took a minute and one half off of last years time.

Lee Schwarz repeated as the top female rider and finished a very impressive 8th overall!

Steve Farner was the fastest male in the 50+ age category and Adrienne Brian repeated as the top 50+ female.

Next year we are moving the Palomar Challenge into the month of June. If anyone is interested in suggesting a date (Saturday only), please send us an e-mail.
